5 February 2023

The Turquoise Harmony Institute (THI) is dedicated to promoting peace and reconciliation in South Africa through interfaith dialogue and cross-cultural activities. In this regard we believe that the Interfaith Harmony Week (1-7 Feb) provides a great opportunity in recognizing the imperative need for dialogue among different faiths and religions to enhance mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation among people in a multi-cultural and multi-racial society. In order to achieve this objective the THI plans on hosting a series of interfaith harmony events on 5 February 2023 in Chatsworth, a suburb in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.

The main purpose is to spread the message of interfaith harmony and goodwill among the different faiths. The details of the programme are as follows:
10h00 to 12h00 – Feeding programme targeting disadvantaged members of the community in Westcliff, Chatsworth in the vicinity where a Church, Mosque and Hindu Temple lay side by side.
13h00 to 14h00 – Interfaith lunch complimented by cultural performances by different interfaith groups. (Tudor Conference Centre, 302 Sunset Place, Woodhurst, Chatsworth.)
