We condemn, in the strongest terms, the attempted military coup in Turkey. Government should be won through a process of free and fair elections, not by force. Democratically elected, civilian government and democratic institutions should be respected by all political and civil stakeholders.

Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the chairperson of the African Union Commission, was awarded the Fethullah Gülen Peace and dialogue Award during the eighth annual Ubuntu Lecture and Dialogue Awards ceremony, held in Johannesburg on Thursday evening.

9th Friendship and Dialogue Dinner

The Turquoise Harmony Institute hosted the 9th Annual Friendship and Dialogue Dinners series between 30 October and 4 November 2014. For the first time, the Dialogue Dinner series was hosted in four cities across South Africa, beginning in Johannesburg, before moving to Durban, Cape Town and culminating in Bloemfontein
